What Is Happening During Play?


Adults may consider play as a break or a putting-off of learning or serious work. But as famous child psychologist 
Jean Piaget said, "Play is the work of children." Or in the words of Fred Rogers, "Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning." In Early Intervention we whole-heartedly support play as it benefits all areas of development.
